Our Safety

  • The College of the Siskiyous maintains the buildings heat, cooling and power.

  • No space heaters are allowed in the studio or control room.

  • No food or drink is to be consumed in the control room.

  • All containers containing liquid must be tightly closed while in the control room.

  • Food and drink can be consumed in the studio providing that great care is exercised and you stay away for production equipment.

  • Never move or use the step ladders without help.

  • Ensure no one is under the ladder during it's use.

  • Safety chains must be attached to all overhead lights.

  • Use gloves when adjusting lights as they can get very hot.

  • Use only heat treated filters on lights.

  • Be aware of the wires on the floor. Do not stand or walk on wires as this can easily damage them.

  • Place wires under a rug in high traffic areas.

  • Do not leave production equipment in vehicles when the weather extremely hot or cold. This can destroy the equipment.

  • Equipment is to be returned to storage at the end of each production day.

  • Minimize trip hazards. Keep door ways clear of furniture and equipment.
